This bar is so LA! From the hip hop mixed with vintage Madonna and El Debarge to the fabulous "faux" antiques slash bordello look, Chris Breed's newly invented spot (it was Sunset Room and he's known for White Lotus) is a series of rococo and Baroque decorated rooms featuring plush divans (some bottle service but certainly plenty for regular folk too) hosting everyone from the OC and Hills types to motocycle- gear clad couples. While the door could be a whole lot more gentlemanly, the service inside is relaxed and unpretentious. Cigarette girls wander around the celebratory clientele that is dancing every which way except self- consciously and happy DJs seem to be playing almost as though they were tossing in their favourite records in their living room. Drinks are not outrageous and on Tuesdays they do a great jazz night with one of the artists who plays with Beck.
