The way Hollywood dates, you'd think there was just ten people to choose from in Tinseltown. So at least you have SBE and Bolthouse to make sure it's the best ten. Hot on the heels of Hyde Lounge, comes a dance club in what was formerly Prey. A residential feel in an open space, the "living room" of Area has white and caramel- coloured terrazzo floors, wooden columns, white leather “Barcelona” chairs and George Nelson lighting. Whether it's the waitresses, in their Andy Warhol-esque black and white mini dresses and white patent leather boots, or the fact that it's the SBE slash Brent crowd that evokes the Swinging Sixties, we'll never know but either way, the tight door at this Thursday through Saturday spot means that someone has cherry-picked your key list! Viva the Ice Storm era!
