This really enjoyable after- work spot on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th breathes new life into the Penn Station area. With a menu as good as any you'd find right off the plane in Puerto Vallarta, you can get scrumptious roast chicken, pulled pork, fish or skirt steak soft tacos, delicious sweet corn, and refreshing salads for a song. There's the requisite nachos and quesadillas but we'd go for something more interesting such as the bodhis tortilla soup. You won't quite think you've crossed the border though as the local sports fans crowd in during happy hour for must- have Micheladas (a Corona Bloody Mary, soooooo good.) Service is undeniably friendly with waitresses in tiny Tex Mex-esque blue cowgirl dresses working under a hilarious sign inscribed "tequila makes you clothes fall off". The kitchen bar serves super late, perfect for those coming out of games at Madison Square Garden or anyone who's just suffered the nearby all night post office lines.
