With greenery, mini trellises, swinging chairs and a wooden floor, the rustic Refinery Rooftop is the best part of this midtown hotel. The outdoor patio and indoor square bar with a retractable glass roof (though we've never seen it rolled back actually) is a superb after work spot that is perfect for those days when the weather might or might not hold up. Though they do have some hiccups in service - sometimes staff want to charge steep bottle service for outside access - for the most part this easy-going spot just requires you to make your plan ahead. So ring up, decide to pop in, and spend your after work hours pretending you aren't in the city. Very few other bars in the fashion district slash west 30s will offer this feel.
