We love Romain whom we first met when he was at Yann Varin. A truly interesting person, he's so much more than hair. That said, you're here for the look, and on that topic, we think his specialty is tousled, Upper East side wavy looks, with a just an extra bit of Paris-esque something. A great cut that lasts for weeks, the quirkiness can be seen right in Romain's own salon; one chair is a 1900 barber's chair, the other a surgical chair. The sink is a dangling copper number and you can listen to one of 1000 LPs or play the xylophone (okay, perhaps doing that while your hair is being cut is not so advised) but nonetheless, it sets the tone at this spot where hair is infused with personality.
