You're going to wish you had the stomachs of a cow if you came to Snack Taverna for just a snack. The much bigger outpost of the teensy Snack has all the same trappings of the first, but with better furniture and a pared down, focused foodie menu. Some things stay the same: the traditional dips - eggplant (melitzanosalata), cucumber (tzatziki), and taramosalata being the best ones - and the quirky air conditioning that plagued the first location. Especially tasty are the fresh tomatoes in the Greek salad, the grilled squashes dish, and the properly seasoned potatoes. Save room for the unusual rice pudding, creamier and stickier than its American sibling version. And the Greek coffee is authentically gritty as the eighteen subsequent bleachings of our teeth would verify.
