You didn't think that Mario Battali was done, did you? Because there JUST weren't enough people eating Battali at Lupa, Otto, Po, Babbo etc, he opened Casa Mono. One night while we were having a drink at Cibar, we passed this corner and lo and behold, there was Battali constructing his new spot. All about meats that scare everyone but the Chinese and the Italians, expect weirdo dishes such as tripe, sweetbreads, brains (brains, people, brains). And for the record no one should ever tell us what cock's comb really is. We promptly had to ditch our vegetarian drinking buddy and go back.
