24 Prince from owners Brad Grossman, Chris Heller and chef/partner and Top Chef Chicago superstar Nikki Cascone is what's been missing from Nolita - a stylish American bistro with no attitude. A place to go for fried chicken, cobb salad, mac and cheese, your basic burger, but in a quaint restaurant atmosphere. Reliable house wines on a list sorted by Cascone who is a sommelier; a tasty Moscato d'Asti along with the food classics also helps to lure the locals back night after night. While it doesn’t hurt that Cascone has worked with James Beard award-winning chefs, perhaps the relaxed atmosphere comes from the fact that the trio all know how to blend sceney with the desires of the every day diner; Cascone did a turn at Yankee Stadium as Director of Food and Beverage and Grossman and Heller hilariously orchestrated Paris Hilton’s 21st bash. Packed by 8 p.m. there's a small wait at the bar. We like the house salad with its white balsamic mint vinaigrette best.
