Prime Burger Café 56 Ninth Avenue 212 242 9040 For a restaurant that's been around for a century and a half, they're pretty creative at the Old Homestead. Their latest effort, the Prime Burger Café, is filled with such high-low matches as the giant foot long Kobe beef hot dog and the Surf & Turf burger (cuts of lobster on top). At a painless $15 for most burgers (the lobster one, well, that's a bit more), we like the It's All Greek to Me burger, topped with Greek salad goodies or for those wary of beef, there's also the Kurobuta Pork burger, a chicken paillard and a tuna burger. A must garnish are the Rick's Picks Curried Green Tomato pickles. Say that one five times fast. |
