The extremely enjoyable restaurant, from the folks who brought you Cafe Noir (the cafe so lusciously featured in Unfaithful and home to one of the best mojitos in town), may not be the best French fare you will ever have, but it hits all the high notes. The menu has salade Nicoise (though with preserved tuna), tarte aux oignons, filet de daurade done with fennel the French way, risotto Coquilles St Jacques, moules marinieres, and bouillabaise; that is, everything we expect from the de rigeur menu Francais. At brunch, there's also a number of egg specialities including a really fun one with a poached egg deep fried inside a chopped sausage layering. Off the menu, a custardy version of the traditional clafoutis aux cerises makes a great end to the meal. What makes this spot so worth your time is the casual feel and tone set by the chef and staff. They seem to be having fun at work and want you to also (on weekends, there's even a magician who does tricks loved by kids and adults alike) and that they are at leisure (without being slow) will make you feel as though you could laze away many hours here.
