From Pascal and Virginie Petiteau comes this east side townhouse French bistro that serves all the expected classics such as mussels, cassoulet, Parmentier (beef cheeks shepherd's pie), sole Meuniere, steak frites, crème brulee, tarte tatin, and profiterolles. Many dishes are exactly what would make a French person missing Paris feel right at home. The grilled ribeye comes with a green peppercorn or béarnaise sauce. The cassoulet is exactly as expected with duck confit, bacon and garlicky sausage. But some unexpected touches lend a modern element. Mussels come various styles; Provencale, Mariniere, but also Basilic and Normande (the latter with mushrooms and truffles) and our favourite, Thai style, in lemongrass curry. Tuna is served with a seaweed salad. A goat cheese cake with piquillo pepper. A napoleon cake is done with Nutella. With 92 seats in the dining room, there's also 16 sought after ones out in the garden.
