PopBar 5 Carmine Street 212 255 4874 It's not a restaurant at all, but this delicious gelato shop serving hand-made gelato on a stick is so scrumptious, you won't want to leave. And the question will come down to; how many can you eat? The flavours change constantly and the mixes are up to you in terms of toppings. You can even request your own flavours. We had the mango, which we dipped in white chocolate; the blueberry which we dipped half in dark chocolate, half in nuts; and the coffee, which when dunked in the white chocolate, tastes faintly, redolently of dulce de leche. The bars beat anything else you can get in a box, in a restaurant, or attempt yourself at home. So for a little smattering of Italy, the real Italy, not some amalgam; this is where you want to walk by for dessert. |
