Started many years ago as a small town shoe shop in Larchmont (complete with gardening shoes and white tennis socks), Plaza Too has grown to become the alternative to department stores for shoe lovers. No more disastrous floors or sales attendants who never come back. From sky-high Givenchy dream stilettos to furry BC outdoor bunny shoes to Wellies, this downtown boutique has something for everyone, both in style and price point. Amongst tons of other brands, the shop stocks Tory Burch, Badgley Mischka, Belle by Sigerson Morrison, Bettye Mueller, Coach, Kate Spade, and our personal favourite Paul Smith. But lots of stores have stock. What makes this one a winner, is the utter lack of snobbiness. A hilariously friendly staff doesn't assess your buying power on entry; no one frowns on your latte and makes you set it aside; and this is all obvious instantly by their stream of regular customers, who clearly feel at home. You will too on your very first visit, and probably find yourself coming back to stock up also on bags (Botkier, Furla, Hayden Harnett, Lauren Merkin), jewellery (Alexis Bittar, CC Skye, Chan Lu, Kenneth J. Lane), hats and other bits and bobs.
