A particular British sensibility is not just showcased but screaming loudly at this delightful men's shop (even this writeup about the store is British having already used the words 'particular' and 'sensibility'.) From A Child of the Jago (Joe Corre's line) to Fred Perry to Sir Tom Baker to Raf Simons, the gamut of what could be found without a trip across the pond is in this narrow and dapper store. However it's seen through the wonderful lens of owner Andrew Clancey who embraces the flamboyant colours and lifestyle (more the former than the latter in all fairness) we love in the British. So forget bespoke suits, it's more velvet numbers, jackets with patches, high heeled Western croc shoes (for men), and distressed t shirts. The usual icons are represented; the flag is everywhere as are fish and chips brollies. And sure there's the occasional plain black jacket (sort of) or simple shirt, but really the rumpled, good times man - wears clothes a little too bright, has a few too many - is the Any Old Iron man. Nice clothes around which he's not too fussed, the man who shops here is the one you want at every party. After you've insured your good glassware for breakage and hired a proper day-after cleaning crew, of course.
